We published The Wounded Warrior Family Care Report in April, 2009. The report provides a synopsis of our research regarding family support needs of severely wounded service member families and the existing government and non-profit resources to meet those needs. The report also provides several recommendations to improve and supplement existing supports to ensure families have timely and full access to the resources required to rebuild quality lives after a devastating injury.

We shared this report with the Department of Defense and the Department of Veterans Affairs, other non-profit and veterans service organizations, and the House and Senate Committees on Veterans Affairs with the hope that each would consider the recommendations as they evaluate the programs and services they provide for these families.
