The Quality of Life Foundation is developing a national, private-sector Community Resource Coordinator Program (CRCP) to provide a gold standard of family support after a severely injured service member leaves inpatient care and a family member assumes full-time care giving responsibilities.  In short, the CRCP augments the services provided by existing Department of Defense and Department of Veterans Affairs Wounded Warrior Programs.  CRCP services are delivered through an established network of participating organizations by local advocates who coordinate community and national non-profit resources to meet underserved family support needs.  The program includes an Emergency and Unmet Needs Fund to address urgent needs that cannot be met timely with community and national non-profit resources.

Participating organizations will include local government, community, veterans’ service, non-profit, faith-based and other organizations.  Working collaboratively, participating organizations will change how our country supports the families of our most severely wounded service members.  By leveraging local resources and volunteers, we can ensure that regardless of where a family lives, or to which branch of service their injured loved one belongs, they will have a local family advocate coordinating community-based, post-transition support - the very foundation for rebuilding quality lives.
