On April 30th, over 70 people participated in the Charity Poker Run held at Glory Days Grill, Cosner’s Corner, in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The weather was perfect, outdone only by the generous nature of those who participated in the event. Every single cash prize winner donated part, or all, of their prize money back to the event. Some riders didn’t even turn in their hands – saying they were just there to support the troops and their families. In all, the Grey Ghost Chapter of the Nam Knights of America Motorcycle Club raised over $1,900 in support of the Quality of Life Foundation Wounded Warrior Family Care Program.
The Nam Knights mission is to honor the memory of American Veterans and Police Officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty, to assist Veterans and Police Officers in their time of need and to promote community awareness through sponsorship and participation in various fundraising events. The Grey Ghost Chapter members, with help from friends, carried out that mission beautifully in the April 30th Charity Poker Run. Visit their website at http://www.nkmc-va.org to learn more about them. The Quality of Life Foundation counts ourselves lucky to have guys like these in our corner.
